Ryde-Eastwood Chess Club FIDE Rated Winter Swiss Starting this Wednesday 17th June
Dear Members, Our next tournament will be the 7 round Winter Swiss run over 8 weeks starting this coming Wednesday 17th June. There will be one round per night with no games on 1st July. This tournament will be FIDE and ACF rated. The time limit will be 75 min + 30 sec per move. If you are interested in playing in this tournament please do a “Reply All” to this email before noon Wednesday 17th June. On 1st July, Grandmaster Ian Rogers will be giving a talk on the completed 2026 FIDE Candidates tournament to determine the challenger for the 2026 World Chess Championship. Also note that if you want to compete you must be a current member of Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club, pay your Chess Club membership fee before the 1st game and if an adult be a member or a registered player of the NSWCA.
